Hyderabad, Jan 16 : In a significant development,the leaders of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) will hold talks with YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on forging a non-Congress and non-BJP federal front, on Wednesday.
The team of TRS leaders including G.Vinod, P Rajeshwar Reddy and Shravan Kumar and led by TRS Working President K.Taraka Rama Rao will discuss with Mr Reddy on the possibility of the YSRCP going along with the non-BJP and non-Congress Federal Front being forged by the TRS Supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
The meeting is slated to be held at Lotus Pond, the Central office of YSCRP, in posh Banjara Hills here. The TRS leaders' meeting with Mr Reddy is in accordance with the direction of Mr Chandrashekar Rao.
Though the YSRCP has little presence in Telangana, it is the main opposition party in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
Interestingly, AP Chief Minister and TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu is in favour of a non-BJP front led by the Congress.
Mr Chandrashekar Rao who is keen on forging a non-NDA and non-UPA front to bring about a qualitative change in the National politics had already met Bengal and Odisha Chief Ministers --Mamata Banerjee and Naveen Patnaik respectively, former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and DMK President Stalin and discussed the Federal Front proposal with them.
