Amaravati, Nov 3 : Making it clear that TDP was floated not to oppose a particular party, Andhra Minister for Finance Yanamala Ramakrishnudu expressed anger over opposition YSRCP and Jana Sena for their allegations against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for meeting AICC president Rahul Gandhi for the formation a Front to face the BJP.
“The opposition parties are talking about what happened in the past. But what is happening at the present time is important. The TDP was floated to fight against a system. Late former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao had floated the TDP to check the arbitrary and exploitation systems. TDP was floated to protect the poor and under privileged sections” he said in a statement here on Saturday.
The leaders of opposition parties are misinterpreting the efforts of Chandrababu Naidu meeting Rahul Gandhi for the formation of a front against the BJP, he slammed. N T Rama Rao floated the TDP in 1982 keeping in view the then prevailed political mess, he reminded.
Unfortunately, the present political situation, in the administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is worse than the 1982 political situation. The responsibility of protecting the country and democracy from wrong people lies on all, he said.
The Narendra Modi and Amit Shah duo is ruining the constitution. The TDP has been plying a crucial role in the National politics, whenever needed, since its inception. The main objective of the TDP is to free the country from the clutches of BJP.
Mr Naidu met Mr Gandhi as part of his efforts to form a front to check the BJP, Mr.Ramakrishnudu said.(UNI)
