Ananthapur Aug 29: The bus yatra, taken up by the CPI(M) and CPI in protest against the anti-people policies of the governments, began here as CPM Polit Bureau member Subhashini Ali flagged off the bus here on Wednesday.
On the first day, the bus Jata went through Ananthapur, Dharmavaram, Penugonda and Hindupur. She participated in the rally taken out on the occasion. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, she said that the bus Jata was being organised in a bid to explain the people about the anti-people, anti-farmers and anti-labour policies of the BJP led Centre and TDP led state government. She deplored that suicides of farmers had increased and there were more number of such suicide in Anathapur district. The farmers were not being provided MSP for their produce, she slammed.
She alleged that the attacks on Dalits and minorities had increased during the last four years. She condemned the arrest of Varavara Rao and other leaders on the charge of hatching conspiracy. The BJP led Centre is trying to convert the constitution, drafted by B R Ambedkar as Manusmruthi, he slammed and alleged the SC/ST Atrocities Act was diluted.
Taking a dig at Chandrababu Naidu, she lashed out that he kept quit as long as he was in the NDA and after quitting it he was criticising the BJP. With a fear of defeat in the 2019 election, Chandrababu Naidu quit the NDA and blaming the BJP now, she flayed.
CPI state Secretary K Ramakrishna said that the Left parties would go to polls with all like-minded parties including Jana Sena, AAP, Lok Satta and other secular parties. He said that a massive Maha Garjana would be held in Vijayawada in September against the anti-people policies of the state govenemnt.
