Naresh Agarwal regrets 'comments' on Jaya Bachchan

Naresh Agarwal who shifted his loyalty from Samajwadi Party to BJP on Monday has expressed regret for his comment on actor Jaya Bachchan.

Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj condemned Naresh Agarwal's controversial comment in which he called Jaya Bachchan as someone who used to dance in films. Union Minister Smriti Irani also criticised Naresh for his comment. At first, Naresh Agarwal was not ready to apologise. But as the pressure from top BJP leaders mounted on him, later on, he apologized. 

'If anyone was hurt by my comments, then I express my regret', said Naresh Agarwal on Tuesday while talking with the reporters. Naresh Agarwal quit Samajwadi Party on Monday once he was denied the chance to go to the Rajya Sabha. Instead, Samajwadi Party nominated Jaya Bachchan as their Rajya Sabha nominee.
