BJP takes exception for TDP’s malicious campaign

 Feb 12, 2018

Launching a counter attack against the Telugu Desam party’s campaign that the BJP led NDA government at the Centre meted out injustice to Andhra Pradesh, BJP State General Secretary Jammula Shyam Kishore said that its party leaders would go to the people to explain them the substantial assistance, the Centre had provided to the state so far.

Addressing a press conference in Vijayawada on Monday, the BJP leader condemned the TDP's campaign and took a strong exception to the baseless allegations of TDP MPs against the Centre.

Kishore objected to the statements of TDP leaders that they would continue to adopt belligerent attitude against the Centre. 'The BJP leaders would be accountable to the people of the state and not for the TDP leaders', he clarified.

The Centre had taken the onus of doing justice to the AP and granted 9 National institutions and funds are being provided for the Polavaram project, he claimed. The Centre had taken up widening of a highway in the state at a cost of Rs 1 lakh crores, the BJP Senior leader added.

Dismissing the TDP charge that funds were not being released by the Centre for various projects, he clarified that if Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) were submitted, funds would be released without delay, adding that delay in releasing funds to AP was due to delay in sending DPRs by the state government. BJP State Development Committee Convener Uppalapati Srinivasa Raju and State Working Committee member S Srinivasa Rao were also present.
