Kerala ML creates history. Elects 3 women to SS

Indian Union Muslim League created history on Sunday by electing three women to the Kerala State Secretariat.  Muslim League in the state appears to have responded to the mood of its women members and given them representation to its top policy making body in the state.

The state unit has elected Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal as state president for the third time and K.P.A. Majeed as the General Secretary. The new Treasurer is Cherakkal Abdullah.  The women elected to the State Secretariat are: former state president of Vanitha League Khamaruneesa Anwar, former state general secretary of the Vanitha League Noorbina Rasheed and president of the state Vanitha League K.P. Mariyumma.

Indian Union Muslim League Kerala State Secretariat is 63 members strong.
