 Feb 12, 2018

The Central Reserve Police Force on Monday has prevented a lethal attack on a CPRF camp in Srinagar early on Monday.

It is learned that an army guard found the two armed men were stealthily moving towards the CRPF camp in Karanagar on Monday at 4 am. When the two boys found that they were noted by the army, they started the fire. After the exchanged fire for a few minutes, the two, who were armed with AK-47 rifles, fled from the spot, a CRPF spokesperson told.

It is said that if they were not found, their attack could have been another lethal attack against the army camp again. The report came on the day the army was paying tributes to five of its men who were among the six people killed in an attack on a camp in Jammu’s Sunjuwan.

The Karanagar CRPF camp is close to the SMHS Hospital, where militants struck on February 6.
