K. Srikanth and Prannoy win the men’s singles Second round

Two Indian shuttlers, KidambiSrikanth and H.S. Prannoy scored convincing victories in the men’s singles to make it to the second round of the Indonesia Super Series Premier at Jakarta on Wednesday.

K. Srikanth defeated Hongkong’s Wong Wing Ki Vincent 21-15, 17-21, 21-16 in short of an hour. H S. Prannoy beat Anthony SinisukaGinting, a higher ranked player 21-13,21-18 in a 43 minute game. However it was a disappointment for SaiPraneethwho lost in the first round to second seeded South Korean Son Wan Ho 14-21, 18-21.

In the men’s doubles Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and ChiragShetty were defeated by FajarAlfian and Mohammed RianArdianto 9-21, 19-21. It was a similar fate for Ashwini Ponappa and N.Sikki Reddy too. They lost 21-19, 19-21,13-21 to Indonesia’s Dian Fitri and NadyaMelatani.
